Fay Adaline Burrison-Collins, 96, of Sedro-Woolley, Washington, went to be with her Lord on May 25, 2016, in Sedro-Woolley.
Fay was born on May 13, 1920, in Reed Point, Montana, to Mr. and Mrs. Earl and Nina Burrison. She was one year old when her family relocated to Orange County, California. Fay graduated from Huntington Beach High School in 1938. In 1942, she married Mendal Collins at Midway City Church of the Nazarene. Mendal became an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene and Fay served along side him in LaHabra, California, Butte, Montana, Sunnyside and Cheyenne, Wyoming, Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado, Willow Creek, California and Molokai, Hawaii. They also served on missions trips to Guatemala and Panama. After retiring, they moved to Grandview, Washington, then to Sedro-Woolley. Throughout her life, Fay enjoyed various church-related activities, crocheting, sewing, travel, and raising her three sons.
Fay is survived by three sons and their spouses, Dwight and Nina Collins of Downey, California, Cliff and Erica Collins of Valdez, New Mexico, and Mark and Deanna Collins of Sedro-Woolley; two brothers, John Burrison of Prescott, Arizona, and Ralph Burrison of Cerritos, California; eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant daughter, Sandra; her parents; sister, Joyce Burrison and brother, Oscar Burrison.
The family would like to thank Tammy Cimoch for her friendship and care of Fay.
Services held on Friday, July 15, 2016, will include a private family graveside service followed by an open celebration of her life at 2:00 p.m. at the Mount Vernon, Washington, Church of the Nazarene. Memorials in honor of Fay are suggested to the Church of the Nazarene, 2710 E. Fir Street, Mount Vernon, WA 98273. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
