Faye Marcella Cooper, 80, a former Sedro-Woolley resident, passed away on November 18, 2017 in Seattle after a brief illness.
Faye was born to Louis and Esther Cooper on August 8, 1937 in Los Angeles, CA. She grew up in Burbank, CA and graduated from John Burroughs High School.
In 1956 she married James Varner; together they had daughters Robin Sue and Cynthia Tura. After divorcing she later married George Armstrong and daughters Mary Angelique and Shannon Lee were born. Her girls were her life and she did anything for them.
Faye began working for Seattle Housing Authority in 1985 and retired in 2005.
She is survived by daughters, Robin Armstrong, Cookie Bennett (Matt), Angel Armstrong and Shannon Jackson (Rodney); grandchildren, Nick Reiter (Tammy), Victor Fox, Jr., Jamie Abernathy (Jeremy), Marcie McNeal (John), Jessica Chandler (Matthew), Collin Waterton Jr. (Bailey), Jordan Armstrong, Brittany Armstrong, and Lorenzo Jackson; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Grace, and Cam Reiter, Madison Bergman (Colten), Maison Abernathy, Owen, Samantha, and Kade McNeal and Hallie and Liam Chandler; great-great-grandson, Landen Bergman and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy Smallberg; brother, Lester Smallberg, former husband James Varner and son-in-law Nick Reiter.
Please join us for a Celebration of Life for our sweet dear mother on December 3, 2017 at the Reserve at Renton, 495 Renton Center Way SW, Renton WA, 98057 from 3:30 to 6:30. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Lemley Chapel.

    My deepest condolences to Faye’s family. Although words fail to express the pain of losing Maurice, I pray that it is comforting to know that she was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. Isaiah 41:10; John 6:40. Faye is resting peacefully now in God’s loving memory and the precious memories you shared will be the greatest treasures of your heart.
