Gladen ‘Geep’ Paul Norris, passed away at the age of 70 at his home with all his family by his side in Concrete, Washington, Sunday, July 10, 2022.  he was born December 27, 1951, to Jack and Rosemary (Erchert) Norris.

Gladen worked at Drake’s mill from 1969-1976, as a mill wright and also built burners for mills.  Then he went to work for Crown Pacific.  He started working for LB&R Logging Company in 1984, driving logging trucks.

He coached T-Ball and little league baseball with the kids he loved, then he became a boxing coach for the Skagit Valley Boxing Club.

Gladen loved boating with family and friends in lakes and in Puget Sound.  The family has wonderful memories of boating.  Gladen also loved to tell his stories and they always got bigger and longer.  He loved to get everyone to laugh.

Gladen is survived by his wife, Vickie; son, Randy (companion, Melinda Hollifield) Norris; daughter, Ricki (Mathew) Roseberry; son, Clay (Melissa) Norris; grandkids, Ashley (Robert) Ferguson, Curtis (Kelsey) Hoyt, Austin Hoyt, Landon Norris, Maddy Norris; great grandkids, Annessa and Brantley Hoyt; brothers, Chris O’Bryan; sisters, Teri Huizenga and Lori Norris; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack; mother, Rosemary; stepfather, Paul O’Bryan; brother, Richard; twin sons, Curtis and Travis Norris.

A Celebration of Gladen’s life will be held at 1:00, on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the Grassmere Fire Station, 44654 State SR 20, Concrete.  Share your memories of Gladen and sign the online guest register.
