Gladys Jean Thramer, age 74, of Sedro-Woolley, passed away December 24, 2016 at United General Hospital.  She was born November 10, 1942 in Bellingham, Washington, to Floyd and Betty (Roedell) Adams.

She graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School in 1961, the same year she married George Baggett. They had their first daughter Renee` in 1966, followed by their second daughter Carissa born in 1983. Later divorcing in 1985. She married Bob Thramer on March 23, 1989. They moved to Newport, WA in 1995 where she bought her own business the “Burro Café” and the “South Shore Store” that she ran for several years. She moved to Sedro-Woolley after Bob passed away in 2011.

Gladys enjoyed crafting, knitting, crocheting, and always cooking more than enough for everyone. Above all she loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved all children, especially babies. She was well loved by all that met her, and was always described as being a “classy lady.” Gladys was selfless, always putting others before herself.

Gladys is survived by her daughters, Renee and her husband, Brian Detchemendy, of Arlington, Washington and Carissa Baggett and her boyfriend, Scott Rickman, of Sand Point, Idaho; stepsons, Rob and his wife, Karen Thramer, of Springdale, Washington and Ron and his wife, Debbie Thramer, of Birdsview, Washington; grandchildren, Ethan, Tiana, Tristan, Jacob, Torrie, Eddie and Jenny; six great grandchildren; brothers, Ernie, Edd and his wife, Nancy, Danny and his wife, Loretta and Phil and his wife, Karen; sisters, Sandra and her husband Chuck and Cynda and her husband, Bill; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 2:00PM at the Sedro-Woolley Eagles.  Cremation arrangements are under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
