Harris Holland a 51 year resident of Sedro-Woolley passed away Friday, November 9, 2001 at his home at the age of 69 years.  He was born October 21, 1932 in Waynesville, NC the son of Clifford and Luabell Reece Holland.

Harris has been a resident of Sedro-Woolley since 1950 coming here from North Carolina.  He worked in the woods as a logger and yarder engineer for various logging companies in Skagit County for many years as well as later working as a shake and wood cutter.

Harris enjoyed hunting of all types; especially, elk, deer, and fishing. He was also known for his ability of telling and sharing a joke his jokes.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Holland at the family home; mother, Luabell Bergman, of Mount Vernon; son, Bobby Holland, of Sedro-Woolley; daughters, Judy and her husband, Craig Vincent of Sedro-Woolley, Doris Holland, of Vancouver, WA, and Elizabeth Holland, of Maple Falls, WA; 4 step-sons, Lee Stanford of Sedro-Woolley, Bob and Ernie Leopard of Concrete, and Tommy Leopard of Georgia; step-daughter, Linda Leopard of Elma, WA; sisters, Phyllis Bergstedt of Sedro-Woolley, Norma Keil, of Aberdeen, Ernie Fortune, of Oak Harbor; brother, Lee Holland, of Sedro-Woolley; 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Harris is preceded in death by his father, Clifford; two brothers, Zemmery Dorice Holland and David Avery Holland.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2001 at 11:00AM at the Hamilton Cemetery with Pastor Tim Hedberg of the Clear Lake Covenant Church officiating.
