Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and best friend, Helen Guddall French passed away on April 1, 2017 in Bellingham at the age of 93.

She was born on July 23, 1923 in Sedro-Woolley to John and Elsie (Springer) Guddall.  She graduated from Sedro-Woolley High in 1942.  Helen resided for most of her life in the Seattle area.

Her life’s purpose was providing love and care for those surrounding her, including her children and their friends, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many life-long friends, especially her friend of 90 years, Doreen Spencer.  Her children include sons, Craig Leibbrand and John Leibbrand (Julieann); daughter, Julie Hope (Terry); grandchildren, Jessica Sregzinski (Thomas), Amy Leibbrand, and Robyn Kennedy (Patrick).  Also she was Great-Grandma (GG) to Ryan, Dylan, Sophia, Theodore, and Chloe Sregzinski, Patrick OH 3rd, and Maureen and MaKenzie Kennedy. She was preceded in death by beloved husbands, Robert Leibbrand in 1969 and Irwin French in 2001. She also joined her parents; her sisters, Elaine Guddall, Harriett Eaton and Ethel Lemley and brother John Guddall who preceded her to heaven’s door.

She touched everyone she knew with her kindness and loving ways and she will be missed by all.

Her Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 3:00pm at Lemley Chapel in Sedro- Woolley. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Whatcom Hospice or Whatcom Humane Society.
