HELEN LOUISA WIBBELMAN, 63, a longtime Clear Lake, WA area resident passed away Thursday May 9, 2002 at Josephine Sunset Home in Stanwood, WA surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on December 27, 1938 in Seattle, WA the daughter of Frederick & June Kappan Pennick. She was raised and attended school in Seattle, moving to Gresham, OR as a teenager. She graduated from Gresham High School in 1957. During her senior year she won the
Oregon State pie baking contest with her delectible cherry pie.
Helen was united in marriage to Carl A. Wibbelman at Lake Serene, WA on July 10, 1964. They made their home in Alderwood, WA until coming to Skagit County in 1970, making their home in Clear Lake.
Together they own and operated Mount Vernon Frame & Axle where she was the bookkeeper, and more. Helen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family.
She is survived by her husband Carl of Clear Lake, WA. Her son, Jim Wibbelmann of Bow, WA. 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanne & Joel Andersen of Eugene, OR, Juleen & Scott Perusek and Joni & Tony Brown all of Sedro-Woolley, WA. 7 grandchildren, Karlin & Soren Andersen, Ben & Michael Perusek, and Aaron, Kayla & Mason Brown.
