She was born on September 5, 1935 in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Arnold and Geneva (Allen) Korupp.
Irene was a one of a kind lady. She was beautiful, intelligent and could light up a room with just her smile. She loved watching all sports; especially, watching the Seahawks with her grandchildren. Irene also enjoyed reading mystery books, bowling, bingo, picnics, and ball room or swing dancing.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Campbell (Carl) of Sedro-Woolley, WA; sisters, Doris Konis, Helen Dunning (Author John); grandchildren, Brian Haney (Lili), Danielle Rodriguez, Jared Clarkson (AKA Bear), Bonnie Tolbert, Sadie Tolbert, Scott Tolbert, CJ Campbell (Corine), Kaylee Campbell; 29 great-grandchildren; and 5 nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents. 
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff and many friends of Irene’s at the Mount Vernon Manor. There will be a celebration of Irene’s life held in the late summer. Arrangements are under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley, Washington.
