Have known this lady all my life. She was a wonderful person and a good friend to my Aunt Edna Pottage Normark and mother Bernice Duvall Stendal since their school days. Mom was also a member of the birthday club – what a fun group of Sedro Woolley ladies – I enjoyed my visits with them – they were an inspiration – certainly knew how to have a great time and be a little crazy to make everyone laugh.
Auntie Edna is in an assisted living facility in Denver and Mom lives at the Bridge in Mount Vernon – she is 97. I know all of you in Jacquie’s family appreciate her contributions, talent and good humor. She has certainly left many good memories for her family and friends. Sincerely, Jean Davis

I’m very sorry for your families loss. Looking back on my childhood and the neighbors that we all shared on Claybrook Road I have many happy memories and the Cromarties shared in many of those.
Andy always had time for me as a young, curious kid he’d let into his wonderful shop and actually show me how to make something or teach me how to run a particular tool after a long day on a construction site. I remember Jacquie as being very patient that I was taking her husbands time but also only remember her smile and her happy demeanor any time she peaked in to remind Andy it was time to come in and saw him with me. Jacquie was a very nice woman who raised a wonderful family, and who will remain in my memories.

I cannot really say it any better than Brother Dave did.

I have such fond memories of Jackie and Andy. They were wonderful neighbors to us, always so kind and nice.

You will be in my thoughts and prayers

My deepest condolences to you all as you mourn Jacquie’s death. My life is richer because she and Andy were such incredible neighbors. It was a lucky day for the Bricka family in 1968 when we moved right next door to the Cromarty’s thriving home and business on Claybrook Road.

We recently moved my mom Joan to Country Meadow Village. We are renting the Claybrook Road house to a nice young couple. One of the last things I did after packing and cleaning was take down the sign that Andy made that was on our house for over 40 years. As I did I thought of Jacquie and Andy and the wonderful memories of growing up in a small town with kind caring neighbors. The sign “The Geo. C. Bricka’s” is now in our garage.

May God comfort you all in your time of grief.
