Jerry Spaulding

Monday, July 29th, 2019

Jerry Lee Spaulding, 47, passed away peacefully at his home in Sedro-Woolley surrounded by his loving family and friends on Monday, July 29, 2019.

He was born in Aurora, Colorado on January 27, 1972 the son of Jerry Spaulding and Carol (Burkhardt) Porter.

Jerry loved everyone, not having anything bad to say about anyone which made him a very special man and friend too many. He enjoyed making people laugh with all of his funny antics, whether it was showing up in a goofy wig or playing pranks with his rubber snakes and spiders. He always had a great outlook on life and lived it to the fullest. He loved riding motorcycles, playing with all the neighborhood kids and helping them with whatever they needed. He worked for O’Reilly Auto Parts for the last four years where he really found a fun family of coworkers that he could truly call his friends. He loved his job! Around that same time he moved into a neighborhood that had the same effect. Everyone there is one big family and welcomed Jerry with open arms. You could always count on hearing all the neighborhood kids at 5:00pm yelling for Jerry as he pulled up from his job. If he wasn’t out and about after he got home from work, everyone would worry and wait patiently for his arrival.

I can’t express how much Jerry touched everyone’s lives. You were an extremely lucky person if you had the pleasure of meeting this guy. Jerry, you’ll be forever missed. We all love you!

Jerry is survived by his wife, Joanne McKibbin; mother, Carol Porter (Steven); father, Jerry C. Spaulding (Jann Whitehouse); sister, Charity Rochelle Thorton; stepsister, Heather Spaulding; many cousins, aunts, and uncles; stepson, John Henry McKibbin Jr.; stepdaughter, Alice McKibbin; granddaughter, Jadan McKibbin-Wright; best friends, Lamar Jones, Zoey Jones, Lexi Jones, Armondo Nava and many many more.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 4:00PM at the Magnolia Hall, 214 Ferry Street, Sedro-Woolley.

I met Jerry ( Jay as he was known to me) in Yakima.WA 1989.. We quickly formed a bond, began hanging out and having crazy teen age adventures together. We eventually become known as Beavis and Butthead within our circle of friends.. Well, life being what it is, we drifted apart and lost contact. We found each other again many years later and it seemed like it was only the day before we were causing a little chaos.. I’m going to miss you Jay, you were my brother and friend..

Dearest Joanne, please know that Richard and I loved Jerry very much. He is family and I enjoyed meeting him when I was in Washington. He drove Richard and I to the airport so I could catch my flight back to Ohio. Feeling helpless that we are here in Ohio and not with you. Please know that we love you dearly.
