Juan Reyez Martinez, Jr., age 59, passed away July 11, 2013, at home in Sedro-Woolley.  He was born August 19, 1953, in Ganado, Texas, to Juan and Josephine (Alinez) Martinez.

Juan worked as a Field Inspector for Washington State Department of Transportation for 32 years, and for Harris Construction for 5 years.  He loved his grandchildren more than anything.  He would help his children with any concern, even if it left himself without.

He is survived by his sons, Justin Martinez, and companion, Sara Peterson, and Chad and wife, Chrystal Martinez; daughter, Amy and husband, Mike Burt; grandchildren, Caleb Martinez, Graci Adkerson, Roger Burt, Haley Burt, Curtis Burt, Seth Martinez, Taylor Martinez and Harmony Martinez; brothers, Tony, Travis and Bobby Martinez; sisters, Mary Riggle, Juanita Martinez and Theresa Martinez; and his beloved dog, Pixie.

Juan was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Leonard Martinez.

Family services will be held at a later date.  The cremation services are under the care of Lemley Chapel.
