June E. Wold, age 73, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2005 at the Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon, WA. She was born June 11, 1931 in Vancouver, WA the daughter of Robert and Maude Medford Taylor. June was married to Raymond E. Wold on May 8, 1948 in Mount Vernon, WA. They resided in Ketchikan, AK for a number of years, later residing in Concrete for ten years and for the past six months have resided in Burlington. For many years, June worked as a short order cook and up till her retirement she worked as a cook for United General Hospital. She enjoyed reading, Indian culture, and studying nature.
She is survived by her husband Ray of Burlington. A son and daughter–in-law Marvin and Gunilla Wold of Anacortes. Four daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda andBob Guck of Circle Pines, MN, Deborah and Gene Keener of Sedro-Woolley, Martha and Wade Mahala of Burlington, and Sarah and Bruce Smith of Concrete. 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a sister Leona Becraft of Alger. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons John, Liane, and Milton, two brothers Buster and Loren, and two sisters Betty and Ruth.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, January 21, 2005 at 3:30PM at Lemley Chapel with Pastor Walt Rice of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church officiating. Private Inurnment Services will be held at a later date at the Mount Vernon Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Food Bank.
