I was Anthony’s first grade teacher and I remember how supportive Anthony’s mom was. She was always at his school with a smile on her face and an eagerness to help and to know how Anthony was doing. I know she was always very proud of him. I am very sorry for all her loved ones whom I know will miss her dearly.

I will remember Katia primarily as Anthony’s Mom, because that is how I knew her. Anthony went to school with my daughter from kindergarten through sixth grade. Katia was clearly a devoted mother to Anthony. She volunteered at school events, attended field trips etc. Anthony, if you read this – remember that your mother’s love will help sustain you throughout your entire life. She may be gone, but her love for you will be a part of you forever.

Katia, I along with the family will make sure Anthony is well taken care of. I’m joyful that you are in the presense of the Lord, but you will be missed by all.

You will be missed Katia. You were a woman of strength and I know your children will remember that.
