Leonard “Len” Joseph Rodriguez, Jr., age 54, passed away at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, Washington January 24, 2022.  He was born March 13, 1967, in Poulsbo, WA to Leonard and Pearl (Bill) Rodriguez.

Len was a proud Papa, who enjoyed fishing, hunting and crabbing.  He was a well respected spiritual leader in the Upper Skagit Indian Tribe.  Len was a professional sawyer, a wild land firefighter for the Baker River HotShots in the 80s and 90s.  He Fought fires from Alaska to Arizona.  He planted over 100,000 trees in his lifetime.

Len is survived by his wife, Lisa Boome; children, Joe (Katrice) Rodriguez, Marcy and Kalika Rodriguez; grandchildren, Roy, Julius and Catherine; brothers, Robert and Travis; sisters, Tara and Tonya; numerous nieces and nephews; his dog, Winky, faithful, loyal and true.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Pearl; grandmother, Mary Joseph Bill; uncle Gary “Poncho.”

A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00, Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at the Nooksack Tribal Gymnasium, 2515 Sulwhanon Drive, Everson, WA  98247.  The Funeral will be at 10:00 on Thursday.  Share your memories of Len and sign the online guest register.
