Leonard Sylvester Boome was born August 6, 1940 in Mount Vernon, WA the son of Lawrence and Ruth Lane Boome and passed away at his home in Sedro-Woolley, WA where he resided all his life on Saturday, December 29, 2001 at the age of 61 years. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Inez Boome of Sedro-Woolley. 5 children Lorne Boome of Mount Vernon, Violet pain Boome Williams and her husband Nathan of Sedro-Woolley, Brenda Boome Martinez and her husband Albert of Spokane, Bridget Boome Sookma of Spokane, and Bernadine Joseph Mathias and her husband Cody of North Vancouver, BC. 2 brothers Lawrence and Jason Boome of Sedro-Woolley and 2 sisters Lora Smith and Lisa Boome of Sedro-Woolley. 7 grandchildren Little Leonard Boome the 2 Eiesha Williams, Natalie Williams, Kristopher Sookma, Krystal Sookma, Rochelle Mathias, and William Mathias. Leonard graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School un 1959. He later worked as a logger and then worked for the Skagit System Coop for 15 years. He was a Tribal fisherman all of his life and was a respected Upper Skagit Indian Tribal member. Leonard was a hardworking Man all of his life and he cared for his family very much and we are going to miss him Very Much!!!!!

Prayer Services will be held Tuesday, January 1, 2002 at 7:00 PM at the
Concrete Indian Shaker Church with Funeral Services to follow on
Wednesday, January 2, 2002 at 10:00 AM with Tim Edwards and
Virginia Sampson officiating. Interment will follow at the Sauk Indian
Cemetery. Arrangements and Services under the care of Lemley
Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
