Linda Woodward

Sunday, May 8th, 2022

Linda Jean Woodward, 75, of Sedro-Woolley passed peacefully in her home on May 8, 2022 with her children and grandchildren by her side.

Linda was born in Moline, IL on February 7, 1947 to Robert and Virginia Karlix.  She graduated from Rock Island High School in Rock Island, IL and continued on to The Lutheran Hospital School for Nurses in Rock Island IL, graduating in 1968.

Linda devoted her whole heart and life to her children, grandchildren, and friends.  She was an avid reader, loved to play cards, she always had a joke to tell, and loved to laugh and be silly.  She was steadfast in her faith and Midwestern values.  She brought light and laughter to every room she entered and was a genuine friend that anyone would have been lucky to know.  The love she had for those in her life was bottomless and her spot on this earth will never be filled.

Linda is survived by her three children, Christopher Allan York, Robert Curtis York, Kimberly Lynn Johnson; her grandchildren, Joseph Alexander York, Stephen Kyle York, Brandon Christopher Hewitt, Connie Jo Johnson, Anabelle Ellissia Danielle York; very best friend forever, Janie Mottet.  Linda was just a few months shy of becoming a great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life William Woodward; beautiful granddaughter, Kristin Ellissia York.

A Graveside service will be held at 1:30, on  Monday, May 23, 2022 at Union Cemetery, Sedro-Woolley, followed by a reception at Linda’s home.  All friends and family are welcome to attend.   Share your memories of Linda and sign the online guest register.
