Lois Elaine Holbrook, age 89, a longtime Skagit Valley resident, passed away August 28, 2024 at home in Sedro-Woolley, Washington. She was born October 16, 1934, to Hobert and Kate (Keller) Clark, growing up in Rockport, WA.
She attended school in Rockport until the eighth grade and attended Concrete High School. Upon marrying Keith Holbrook, they settled in Birdsview, having two children, Robert Holbrook of Birdsview and Sherrie Holbrook of Concrete; two grandchildren, Jessica and Keith Fell, both of Clallam County; a great grandson, Adien Parker of Clallam County.
Lois Crocheted since she was six years old. She loved cooking and making everything from scratch; knitting, gardening, tending her chickens, traveling and her dogs. She and Keith hiked many trails on the mountains and hills of the upper Skagit Valley, enjoying the views and numerous wildflowers, birds and other creatures.
Lois worked at National and Cascade canneries, and Draper Valley Chicken Plant in Mount Vernon, WA. Then she worked as a Nurses Aide at Northern State Hospital until its closing. She enjoyed League Bowling in Sedro-Woolley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Holbrook; brothers, Francis ‘John’ Clark and Richard ‘Dick’ Clark.

I remember Lois coming into my Food Bank in Marblemount (Bread of Life Food Bank). This was such a nice family. So pleasant and kind to talk to. I pray that those who remain will be comforted by the Lord as they grieve.
