Lois (Mom) passed away at the age of 83, on April 26, 2015, in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.

Lois was born on April 2, 1932 to Bert L. and Eletha M. Heggen of La Conner, WA.  Lois married George M. Nemo on October 26, 1949, in Mount Vernon.  They were married for 65 years and resided in Sedro-Woolley.  Lois was well known for her lifelong work in retail sales.  She retired 18 years ago from J. C. Penney’s.  Mom loved to spend her summers at Lake Chelan, and many trips to Hawaii.  She loved to swim.  Nobody could float like Mom!  Wherever the sun was, Mom would head in that direction.

Lois is survived by her husband, George; son, Nick Nemo of Mount Vernon; daughter, Debi and her husband, Tom Dunlap of Mount Vernon; granddaughter, Mindy Dunlap; grandson, Andrew Nemo; great granddaughter, Shailee Nemo; many nieces, nephews and special friends.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Eletha Heggen; son, Rick Nemo; brother, Floyd Heggen; sister, Virginia Jones.

Mom – You will always be our sunshine –

No services are planned at this time; Lois’ final resting place will be Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, La Conner.

    So sorry to hear of Lois’s passing. She was a very nice, sweet lady and so thoughtful. I wish I had the time to know her better, however, I do know that Shailee loved her and their time spent together. Prayers to the family.

    We are so sorry to hear in the passing of Lois. She was a cousin who we had seen many years ago and she was going to come to South Dakota but never made it. There aren’t many of the first cousins left now. Our prayers go with the family. the 1st cousins from South Dakota (Nellie (Heggen) and Clifford Jensen.
