Lola Johnson, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend gained her angel wings in the evening of May 31, 2021 in Bellingham, Washington.  Lola was born September 8, 1926 in Marion, North Carolina. She moved to Marblemount, Washington with her family when she was 4 years old.  In May 1949 she married her husband Howard and moved to the family farm in Birdsview. She and Howard built their current home in 1951 where she made a loving home all of her adult married life.

Lola was described as being the perfect combination of sweet and sassy. She had so many friends and family that loved her wonderful personality. Everyone enjoyed visiting with her. She made everyone feel special especially, her grandchildren and great grandchildren and held a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by daughter, Christine and son-in-law Frank Salseina of Birdsview; grandsons, Jerry Wayne Johnson, and his wife Shandal, of Prineville, Oregon, Jason Johnson and his wife Stephanie, of Bay View, Richard Wegers and his wife Jacklyn, of Richland, Nathan Salseina, of Sedro-Woolley, Kellen Salseina and his wife Britni, of Colville; granddaughters, Suzanne Taylor Johnson, and Scott Matthews, of Deming,  Crystal Wegers, of Sedro-Woolley; sisters, Dorothy Fink and Gladys Stringfield, of Sedro Woolley;   She had so many great grandchildren their names barely fit on her sweater.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Addie Proctor; father, James Denny; husband, Howard; son, Gerald; three brothers, Theo, Kenneth and Raymond Denny; sisters, Margie Binschus and Mary Hedman.

A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Hawthorne Memorial Park in Mount Vernon, WA at 12:30 PM.  Share your memories of Lola and sign the online guest register.
