Lorie Ann Landry, age 48, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2004 in Rockport, WA. She was born November 27, 1955 in Torrance, CA, the daughter of Gordon and Nola Nansel. Lorie grew up in California, later moving to Lynnwood, WA and graduated from Meadowdale High School. She then attended Edmonds Community College and began her career as a medical transcriptionist. She was a resident of Skagit County for the past 24 years residing in Sedro-Woolley until recently moving to Rockport with her companion Bert Hartley. Lorie’s interests centered around her family, especially her son and daughter in law Matt and Mindy and her grandchildren Tyler and Tanner. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, country music and Nascar Racing. Lorie had a very caring and soft spoken way; she will be deeply missed by family and friends. Lorie is survived by her companion Bert Hartley of Rockport. Her son and daughter-in-law Matthew and Mindy Landry and their children Tyler and Tanner of Lincoln City, OR. Parents Gordon and Nola Nansel of Mount Vernon. Three brothers Delbert and his wife Sheri Nansel of Mount Vernon and children Adina and Danny of Mount Vernon, Kurt and his wife Susan Nansel and their children Todd and Kathryn of Yakima, and Vernon and his wife Kathleen Nansel and their children Brittney and Ashley of Mount Vernon. A sister April and her husband Denny Ruswick and their children Melissa and Joanne of Bellingham.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Saturday, September 4, 2004 at 2:00PM at the Home of Vernon and Kathleen Nansel, 17073 Avon St., Mount Vernon.
