Lowery “Wayne” Shuler, age 85, a long time Sedro-Woolley resident, passed away on September 28, 2017, surrounded by his family.
Wayne was born on October 21, 1931 to William and Sudie (Wyatt) Shuler in Waynesville, NC. As a young boy his family moved to Washington.
Wayne married the love of his life, Lorna Breedlove, in February of 1950, and they raised five children together in their home on the outskirts of Sedro-Woolley.
He worked as a foundry worker for Skagit Corp., later known as Bendix until he joined Concrete Nor’West, where he worked as a truck driver, mechanic and then in the wash plant until he retired in 1993.
Wayne enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping with his children, taking fishing trips with his friends, and Sunday drives with his grandchildren to the mountains; Family always came first.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, William and Sudie; wife, of 58 years, Lorna; brothers, Ernest, William, Luther, Royal “Roy” and Lee; sisters Maggie, Mary, Madie, Mazie, Mattie, Mandy, and Mamie, and son-in-law, Denny Piercy.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
My prayers go out to your family. Lots of memories, even as I drive by the house these days.
