Marty Joe Conard, of Sedro-Woolley, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 30, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones. Marty was born on October 24, 1963 to Bill and Ruby Conard in Waynesville, NC. He moved to Concrete, WA with his family in 1977 and attended school in Concrete. He enjoyed working outdoors within construction and logging. As soon as he could walk, he was sitting on his dad’s lap helping him run equipment, which ultimately became his passion until an injury limited his ability to work in that industry.
For several years, he worked at Boeing in Everett, WA. During this time, Marty was blessed with five beautiful children. He was known for his quick wit and sense of humor that kept his family laughing right up until his departure. He enjoyed fishing, telling stories, and talking to his beautiful grandchildren.
Marty is survived by his children, Natasha (Craig) of Mount Vernon, Bradley (Hannah) of Lyman, Nichole (Jimmy) of Birdsview, Kyle (Tiffany) of Sedro-Woolley, and Aaron (Emily) of Anacortes; grandchildren, Kendra, Brody, Lucas, Dylan, Hayden, Hailey, Gabe, Blake, Cail, Luca, Jordan, Joe, Raymie, Cassius, and Cooper; parents, Bill and Ruby of Birdsview; sisters, Jill (Casey) of Birdsview and Anita of Birdsview; niece Haley and great-nephew Henry of Birdsview; longtime companion, Anita Anderson of Sedro-Woolley and her two sons Blaine of Sedro-Woolley and Clayton of Anacortes; special friends Jackie and Pam Aldridge; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Baxter and Tommie Conard and Henry and Pearl Rogers.
Funeral services will be held at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley with Pastor Bruce Martin presiding on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 1:00pm.
