MARY ADELE STRATTON was born on December 24, 1957 in Mount Vernon, Washington to Gerald & Beatrice Stratton.
She was first a loving mother to her daughters, Jaimie and Lindsay, as well to their many friends, who remember her as the mom they could always go to for support and advice, as well as for love and fun.
Her gentle loving spirit touched all who knew her. Her creativity and artistic talents in so many fields will continue on in the world and in the lives of so many who cherished the beauty of each loving gift. So many will remember her unfailing and creative recognition of each and every occasion.
As well as her love of plants and flowers her life was filled with arts and collage, beads, paper and card making, sewing, music, candle making, and mosaic stepping stones. But perhaps her greatest gift was that of love and friendship which had no limit.
As a pebble in a pool, the waves emanating from her life will continue to hold and nurture so many who love and hold dear her beautiful spirit.
Adele is survived by her daughters, Jaimie, 20, and Lindsay, 17. Her mother, Bea Stratton. 2 sisters, Julie and Diane. 4 brothers, Greg, Tim, Mike and Chris. An aunt, Inez Kuder. Dear friend Marta Gorny and numerous nieces and nephews.
A college fund for Adele’s daughters has been set up at Skagit State Bank. You may make donations at any branch. Make the donation to: Skagit State Bank, under the name of Michael White for Jaimie and Lindsay White. Memorials to the Humane Society of Skagit Valley or Children’s Orthopedic Hospital are suggested.
Funeral services were held on Saturday April 19, 2003 at 2:00 PM at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley. Father William Tracey of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Lynnwood officiated. Inurnment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
