Mary Ellen Wilson Robertson
December 29, 1934 ~ September 21, 2009

Mom has gone to join the love of her life, in the heavens above. Our Dad, Bill Robertson preceded her in death in June 2009. They were happily married for 56 years.

Mary was born in Los Angeles, CA to the late Daniel & Mable Wilson.

Mary leaves behind her children, Connie Lyn Robertson and Billy Dean Robertson. Also survived by her very much-loved grandchildren, Jarrod Alan Robertson, Andrea Michelle Brown and great grandson, Riley Robertson.

Mary spent her career in banking, starting out right after high school. After moving to Seattle in 1967, she walked into Peoples Bank and was hired on the spot. Peoples later turned into U.S. Bank. She retired after 25 years there. She and dad spent their retirement years traveling via motor home to Mexican paradises. They journeyed across the United States together and wintered many years in Winterhaven, CA. Together, mom and dad took their children and later their grandchildren on many great adventures. After retiring they moved from Seattle to Rockport, WA.

Her hobbies included bowling, water skiing, playing cards with the ‘girls’, word search puzzles, sewing, embroidery, expert crocheting & knitting. She created beautiful sweaters and blankets and baby clothing for many.

She was a loving wife who cared for dad after a severe stroke and a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Her dedication to him was unwavering. The love they shared was amazing.

Mom will be forever loved and cherished and very much missed. She left us without warning and we are devastated. We were lucky to spend a beautiful afternoon with her just the day before.

Her sisters, Myra, Kitty & Mable, also survive mom. Her siblings, Dan, Ed and Clara and great-granddaughter Katrina preceded her in death. Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also mourn her passing.

On Saturday October 3rd, 2009, we will honor our wonderful Mother and Grandmother at a celebration of her life.
