Merleta Marilyn-Ann Hendrix, 29, of Sedro-Woolley, Washington passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024, in Mount Vernon, WA. She was born on June 16, 1995, in Seattle, WA to Johnny A. Hendrix, Sr. and SuAnna Luna.
Merleta spent her childhood growing up on the Upper Skagit Tribe with her family and friends and her childhood best friend, Kesha Washington. She was into fashion and makeup always trying out new trends; she enjoyed listening to music, especially her favorite artists, The Weeknd and Russ. Merleta was always a helping hand to her family and friends, always offering to help around the house and watching her nieces and nephews. Merleta was a loving daughter, sister, friend, cousin and mother who gave her children Marianna and Francisco the best life that they deserved. Merleta attended Sedro-Woolley High School. She had wanted to become an interior designer.
Merleta is survived by her parents, Johnny A. Hendrix, Sr. and SuAnna Luna; aunts, Amy J. Rock, Lucy Medina; siblings, John A. Hendrix Jr., Alexus M. Hendrix; children, Marianna, Francisco Valencia; many aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Merleta is preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank D. Rock and Marilyn S. Rock; aunt, Paula M. Rock; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
We appreciate everyone coming and celebrating Merleta’s life, she was taken from us too early and will be loved and missed greatly.
