Mike was a good man, a good friend, and a good husband and father. He was the kind of person that if you hadn’t seen or talked to each other in months or even years, he would be there for you,no questions asked.
Guys night won’t be the same without you. You will be missed a great deal. Thank you mike for allowing me to be a part of your life. Your light made my life that much brighter. I wish we had spent more time together. I love you bro, rest in piece.

Mike was a big hearted easygoing guy. I’m glad to have known him growing up and graduating together from SWHS. He was first to help out with our class reunions. Always a quick smile and friendly to everyone. I’m so glad to have seen him last summer at our 30 year reunion. He will be missed! My condolences to his family.

I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting this sweet man, but his dad, Don was mine and my daughters mailman in Sedro for many years. He always gave us a smile and a hello when he came up to the house. That made a world of difference in our sometimes difficult days. Don, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I will be thinking of you and sending prayers to you and your family. You may not even remember me, but I never forget a name and the association to an address I lived
as to what mail carrier I had. RIP Michael. God Bless you for all the joy you brought to your family and others.

Mike was such a nice guy and fun to be around. I will miss the times my husband Gary and I would go over to his and Paula’s and have a couples night playing games and having dinner. We also spent a couple Valentine’s Day’s with them to. Good times and great memories with close friends. You will be missed Mike, can’t wait to see you again in heaven. ❤️

Mike had such a great wit and sense of humor, a warm heart and was loved by so many.
I will never forget him for not only our good times and jokes back and forth but, most importantly, for what a great husband he has been to my sister Paula and the great father he’s been to Nathan.
I will truly miss you, Mike.

I have many fond memories of the Melsbys and McCanns from our childhood. So glad to reconnect on Facebook these last few years Mike!

My heart is grieving with the Melsbys. Much love to you all.

Happy memories were made with my bro. One time before he met Paula, he text me asking “what do you say to a steak and dvd night?” And my reply made him spit water all over his work car. My reply “what do I say to steak and dvd nigh? I say, evening sailor, new in town?” When we went to the Grand Canyon, I had never been there. I decided to push his buttons and kept repeating “literally every 2 steps is a different view” over and over until he finally told me “ok already” then I told him I was surprised he let me go that long and that he didn’t stop me after 5,6 times LOL. There were many more along our road of friendship. Loved Mike like a brother, he would want me to not be sad and to just remember how much fun we had. My heart will heal, but the memories will stay same. RIP “Frenchie”
