MILDRED O. TINGLEY, 84, a longtime Day Creek area resident passed away at her Sedro-Woolley home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday June 18, 2002.
She was born on December 14, 1917 in Arlington, WA the daughter of Sigurd & Ruth Anderson Broe.
She was raised and attended school in Arlington.
She was married to Walter Tingley in Sedro-Woolley on December 19, 1936 and they made their home in Day Creek, WA. Walter passed away in 1957 and she married Walter’s brother, James in Arlington on March 28, 1959, and they too made their home on the family farm in Day Creek. Mildred was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Kaye & Charles Lederle and Janet & Donald Walker. Her sister, Wilma Wieder. 6 grandchildren, Beth Ward, Charles Lederle, Lisa Adkins, Donald ‘Bus’ Walker, Kristie Froland and Jason Walker. 15 grandchildren and her brother-in-law, David Parker.
Besides her husbands, Walter & James she was also preceded in death by her son David Tingley and her sister Ruthie Parker.
Graveside inurnment services will be held Monday June 24, 2002 at 11:00 AM at Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery. Mr. Richard Swetman officiating. Cremation and arrangements under direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley. Memorials to North Puget Oncology c/o United General Hospital are suggested.
