Mona Straathof Henken, 71, of Stanwood, Washington passed away November 26, 2022 in Burlington, WA.

Mona was born on July 11, 1951, in Downey, California to Cornelius and Wilhelmina Straathof.  In 1960, the family moved from Downey to Clear Lake, WA.  In 1969, Mona graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School.  In 1973, she met and married John Henken.  John and Mona went on to open John Henken Chevrolet in 1974 in Arlington, WA.  They sold the dealership in 1994 and Mona went to work as a title clerk at Brien Ford in Everett.  She retired from there in 2007.

Mona is survived by her son, Ron (Wendy) Henken of Camano Island; daughter, Tiffany (Doug) Palmer of Sultan; Steffen West whom she raised as her own; sisters, Mary (Doyle) Guffie of Burlington and Teresa (Wes) Kenworthy of Oak Harbor; brothers, Dick (Sue) Straathof of Sedro-Woolley and Jack (Carole) Straathof of Clear Lake; grandchildren, Grace, Lila, Jesse, Audrianna and John.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Case and Wilhelmina Straathof.
