ORA BLANCHE PAUL, 79, a longtime Burlington area resident passed away on Sunday June 9, 2002 at the Life Care Center in Mount Vernon.<br>She was born on December 2, 1922 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Matthew & Winnie Hooper Henson. She lived for a time in North Carolina before moving to Darrington, WA where she graduated from high school.<br>She was united in marriage to Howard Lee Paul in Everett, WA on March 28, 1941. Howard had just preceded her in death on May 2, 2002, and they had been married for 61 years. They moved to Long Beach, CA and when WW II broke out, Howard went to serve his country in the Navy and she became an enlisted civilian working as a riveter in a California airplane factory. In 1947 they moved to Hamilton, WA before settling in Forks, WA in 1950 where she enjoyed motherhood. In 1960 they moved to Burlington, WA for a career change for Howard and she began working at National Fruit Cannery from where she retired after 25 years. She was a fun loving person who enjoyed people and having her family close by. She loved helping people, working with crafts, traveling and tending to her flower gardens.<br>She is survived by her three daughters, Cheryl Skillman and her husband Stuart of Mount Vernon, Patricia Paul of Sedro-Woolley and Sandra Dahl of Honolulu, HI. 4 grandchildren, Chrissy and Michelle Skillman and Jason & Melissa Dahl. 2 great-grandchildren, Brandon Dahl & Isiah Skillman. 1 sister, Joe Ann Tryon in California and numerous nieces and nephews.<br>Memorial to a charity of your choice are suggested.<br>Funeral services will be held Monday June 17, 2002 at 2:00 PM at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley.
