Shout Joyfully to the Lord

All the Earth

Serve the Lord with Gladness;

Come before Him with joyful singing.

Know that the Lord

Himself is God

It is He who has made us,

We are his people

And the sheep of His pasture.

Enter His Gates with Thanksgiving

And His courts with praise.

Give thanks to Him,

Bless His name.

For the Lord is good;

His loving kindness is everlasting

And His faithfulness to

All generations.

Psalm 100

“This is not the worst thing to ever happen!  Cancer is so limited.  It cannot cripple love, shatter hope, corrode faith, eat away peace, destroy confidence, kill friendship, shut out memories, silence courage, quench the spirit or lessen the power of Jesus.”                                                           — Margaret, from Philip Yancey’s book: Finding Meaning in the Midst of Suffering

“Believers can face the close of life without fear, without panic, without alarm, because they know that whatever else changes, they will be with Christ, in Christ, through Christ being glorified together with Christ, for ever and ever.”                                                   — J.I. Packer

    I was saddened to see Patty’s obituary today. We were best friends in 3rd grade at Acme Grade School. We moved to Lynden the next year but I would ride with my Dad on the milk truck sometimes when he had the Wickersham route so I could see her. Of course we lost touch as happens but reconnected for a short time as adults. My deepest sympathy to her family but rejoice with you in the fact we’ll see her again. Love and Prayers!

  • George and Beth Sherry

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen you, but we have good memories of all of us together for Sunday lunches and being able to spend time outside together as well. May you gain comfort from your own wonderful memories of your marriage and family life. Please know that we are thinking about you.

    I am sorry to hear about Pat’s death. It’s been nearly 60 years since we road the bus together to Mt. Baker High School as fellow residence of Saxon. Her joyful spirit and infectous smile made her a joy to be around. As a fellow follower of Jesus, I look forward to the day when we can rejoice about the good ol’ days and catch up with all the good things the Lord has done in our lives. By the way, Pat’s mom was my wife Diana (Henderson) favorite teacher at Mt. Baker.
    Blessings onMike and all the others in her family.
