She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Hope Martin.

Rachel and I shared some of the very best times of my life with me. From the time you had guys over on Cederdale and fed us chocolates to keep us from telling on you, to the time we cleaned the house from top to bottom when she was 8 months pregnant with Brian at 12 am acting like goofs and laughing the whole way through to the time her family stayed new years eve at my house, and even more… There are so many years in between there. I am sorry that I took our friendship for granted and drifted away. I will never be able to make the time up now or ever.

Vicki, Rody, Patricia, Crystal and the rest of the family,
I cannot even form the words I want or need to say to any of you. I am sorry is such and understatement! I love and miss all of you!

Rachel and I had not seen each other for several years. We just went our separate ways I suppose. I remember that she had a sweet soul. She was always kind to me. She had a very calm presence. I am sorry to hear of her untimely parting. She will be missed. Warm thoughts to her friends and family at this difficult time.

  • Chris Hodges

To all of Racel’s family, I am so sorry for your loss. Rachel was a kind, fun loving person who always made sure that everyone around her was doing okay. She loved my mother and felt my loss when she died and she never forgot her. Last time I talked with Rachel she wanted to know if it would be okay to put an angel on my mother’s grave. Rachel loved angels and it meant a lot to me that she would do that for my mother. I will miss her talks and her laughter. Although some things did not work out in her life, I have always considered her one of my kids and her boys are my grandchildren. Pop and I will never forget you. You will always be a part of our heart. To the family, hang in there. You will remember her with love and laughter in your hearts and everytime you talk about her these are the feelings you will have. Although you are in pain now, that pain does dim with time. Believe it not, I am here for you and if you need anything, don’t hesitate to call me.

Rachel you were blessed with such a caring spirit, totally devoted to your family and extended family. Willing to help out anyone you could. You had a wonderful sense of humor, a great smile and time for everyone. I loved that fact that you called often to check in, stopped by when you could and always made us a part of your life. You loved fishing and camping and the outdoors and spending time with your boys. You were taken from this world far too soon but you have made an impact on all the lives that you touched and there are many. You leave behind a legacy in your children. I love you Rachel. You will be greatly missed. I am blessed with some great memories.

My dear dear niece. For the last few days I thought maybe all this was a dream, but alas it’s not. I have loved you from the day your mom found out she was pregnant with you. You came into our lives with a bang. It has been a wonderful life having you in it. To short. To short. Your boys will always know how much you loved them. We will ALL make sure of that. I miss you beyond all understanding. I miss your phone calls, voice, laughter, coming to me when you had a problem we needed to find an answer to…. I will see you in the faces of your boys. I know I will see you again someday and that you are watching over all of us. Our “Little Mother Hen” is what we affectionately called her because she was always concerned about family. I will never know where she found the time to check on so many family members, but she always did. She was sentimental, giving, and caring. I will forever miss you little RaeRae….. All my love “Auntie Sylvia”

Rachel was so full of life and spontaneous. She brightened everyone’s day. Rachel would help anyone that needed the help at anytime. She was an angel to all of the people that knew her. Rachel was always ready to jump in and do whatever she needed to do. And now she is in a place where she doesn’t hurt any more or have any problems with anything. Rachel now has wings and she is watching over all of us and keeping us safe and free from harm. Rachel will be so very missed by all of us, near and far. She will never be forgotten by anybody that knew her. And Rachel was known by many people in this world.
I LOVE YOU, RACHEL HODGES FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART AND I WILL NEVER FORGET ALL THE GOOD TIMES THAT WE HAD OVER THE YEARS. I WILL MISS YOU, AND NEVER FORGET YOU.

  • Chuck & Marie Poupart

Although we have only known Rachel a few years, we have come to really enjoy her presence while she was around and will always remember her as being a good, sometimes spontaneous, and spirited young woman with lots of love and joy to spread throughout this mountainous region that we call Marblemount. She sure did enjoy having fun while fishing, picking shrooms, or even splitting and stacking wood with her boys. We are real sorry to see her leave us, but I’m sure, as many of you are, that she is doing well where she is now and that we will always keep her in our mind and next to our heart, for as long as we shall live! May she rest in peace……

Our love and respects are with her family, always!
