Raymond W. Eherenfieldt, 77, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2016 in Sedro-Woolley. He was born in Anacortes, Washington on July 18, 1938.
Ray was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish, and hunt for deer and elk with his family. He retired in 2003 after 41 years at Weyerhaeuser Company.
He was married to Marie, the love of his life, for 58 years.
Ray is survived by his wife, Marie; 3 daughters, Sheryl Attolini (Joe), Darla Van Duren (Rick) and Raylene Levi (Clint); his sisters, Joan Blazina (Dennis) and Carol Besio; brother, Richard Eherenfieldt (Annie); 3 sisters-in-law, Joanne Hawkins (John), Charlene Hansen (Dale) and Diane Story (Bill); brother-in-law, Gary Hall (Gail); 7 grandchildren, Cody Van Duren, Amanda Van Duren, Marissa Levi, Mikel Levi, McKinzee Levi, Dante Attolini and Holly Ashe.
Graveside services will be held at the Hamilton Cemetery (left off Hwy 20) on Cabin Creek Road at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 23, 2016 officiated by Paul Petersen.
A Celebration of Life will follow the graveside services at 1:30 pm at the First Baptist Church, 31441 W Main Street, Lyman, WA.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the caring staff at Life Care Center of Sedro-Woolley, WA. A grateful and heartfelt thank you to Lucas and Thinh for making a special difference in Ray’s last days.
Ray and I enjoyed many trips to Fortson over the years working for
Weyerhaeuser for those almighty Steelhead. He enjoyed every
minute of it. Maybe he’ll get some fishing in Heaven.
was deeply saddened to hear of ray’s passing. I worked with him for twenty-eight years at Weyerhaeuser and truly enjoyed his friendship at the mill all of those years. we had many interests in common and talked about those things as we worked together throughout the years. my thoughts and prayers are with marie and the family at this time and always. so sorry to lose another of our Weyerhaeuser kraft mill family. rest in peace ray.
