Thursday, December 1st, 2016

Redonna G. ‘Donna’ (Parker) Stiles, 61, of Marysville and a former longtime resident of the Sedro-Woolley community, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 in Everett following a battle with lung cancer.

Donna was born on February 17, 1955 in Leaksville, NC, the daughter of Milo & Dillard (Hyler) Dean.  In late 1955 the family moved to Sedro-Woolley where she was raised and attended school, graduating from Sedro-Woolley High School with the class of 1973.

Donna’s greatest joy was caring for her family, especially her grand children. But no matter who you were, the moment you walked through her door, you were taken care of just the same. Donna’s heart was to put others first and she was quick to forgive. Donna expressed an aura that invited strangers to single her out amongst a crowd to engage in conversation. Donna had a talent for home decorating, sewing and creative crafting projects. She also enjoyed travelling, antique shopping, baking, and gardening, donating a large amount of vegetables from her garden to local food banks.

Donna worked as a manager for the Monkey Business Deli’s for several years in several Skagit County locations, and then as a court clerk for the Skagit County District and Superior Courts. She also worked as a clerk for the Everett Municipal Court, retiring in 2005.

Donna was first married to Randy Parker and from that union her children Dean and Candy were born. Donna was a devoted mother, doting on her children and their many friends. Divorcing in 1991. Donna and Bob Stiles were friends in high school and were blessed to become reacquainted in 1996. They were united in marriage in 2002, making their home in Marysville. Donna expanded and embraced her motherhood role to Rob and Adam Stiles and their many friends.

Donna is survived by her beloved husband, Bob of Marysville; her children, Dean Parker (LaDawn) of Sedro-Woolley, Candy Parker (Allen Silrus) of Stanwood, Rob Stiles (Kari),world travelers and Adam Stiles (Sandy) of Toronto, Canada; her grandchildren, Nikkole, Cordell, McKinnley (Jakob) and Oden; great-grandchildren, Tinsley & Emerie; her mother, Dillard Candler; sister, Sue Dean; brother, Stephen Dean (Linda); father-in-law, William Stiles, Jr.; her Stiles family, Bill & Kim, Brian (Vange), Bret & Sheri, Brock & Katherine and Becky & Greg Adams. Auntie Donna was a favorite with numerous nieces, nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Milo Dean.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 3:00 pm at the Bertelsen Winery, 20598 Starbird Rd., Mt. Vernon, WA (exit 218 off I-5, near the Snohomish/Skagit County line). Memorials in honor of Donna are suggested to your local food bank or towards abused women & children centers.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
