RICHARD DELBERT BULLOCK, a longtime resident of Sedro-Woolley passed away Thursday, July 4, 2002 at the Life Care Center of Mount Vernon. He was 74 years of age.
He was born on September 23, 1927 in Ventura, CA. the son of Joseph H. and Marie W. Pope Bullock. He was raised and attended school in California until enlisting into the U.S. Navy. He married his childhood friend, Jean Bergem on April 15, 1951 in Ventura, CA. He worked in the California oilfields as a pipefiter. In 1968 they came to Sedro-Woolley to work in the local refineries, retiring in 1988. In 1996 they went to Alaska where both Dick & Jean worked in a fish processing plant. Dick enjoyed hunting, going to antique auctions and working in his daughters apple orchard. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners.
His wife Jean just passed away in February of this year.
He is survived by his three daughters and sons-in-law, Terri and John Vermaat of Sedro-Woolley, WA; Dell and Roger Cooper of Standwood, WA and Penny and Tom Ogdon of Camano Island, WA.
12 grandchildren, Stacy, Tom, Michelle, Kevin, Micah, Nick, Ben, Mackinzie, Josh, Ashley, Richard and Stephanie.
9 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Polly Bullock, and a special family friend Dennis Oshiro.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers Roy and Joseph Bullock.
Memorial services will be Saturday, July 13, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sedro-Woolley.
