Richard Eberli

Thursday, November 25th, 2021

Richard Anton Eberli, age 77, a longtime resident of Acme, Washington passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021.  He was born April 14, 1944 in Sedro-Woolley, WA to Alfred Frank and Johanna Louise (Oechslin) Eberli.

After graduating from Mount Baker High School, Richard joined the Air National Guard. Later he joined the Carpenter’s Union before owning and operating  Terri Cedar Products with Terri (Eberli) Boyes. A meticulous craftsman, he built his own home and his parents’ home. He was a member of the American Legion and the Eagles and enjoyed hunting and fishing around Washington state. Some of his favorite times were spent smoking Salmon he often caught himself, making wine,  perfecting his sauerkraut recipe, which was a favorite among his friends, and listening to Elvis. In his later years, supplying his grandchildren with Hershey kisses, much to the chagrin of their parents, gave him joy.

Richard is survived by his son, Tobin and his wife, Jacqueline Eberli;  sisters, Marg Abbott, Cathi (Jerry) Johnstone,  Linda Hruby;   grandchildren, Sawyer, Vivienne,  Miranda, Khloe, and Charles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Andrew Eberli.

Special thanks goes to his niece, Monica Kreough for her compassionate care in the twilight of his life that allowed him to stay in his home. Even in his last days, just hearing her voice as she neared his room brought a smile to his face and prompted him to start barking orders because he knew she would help him, no matter how small or insignificant the request.

A Graveside Committal Service will be held at 10:00, Friday, December 10, 2021, at Saxon Cemetery, Father Tom McMichael celebrating, with a gathering to follow.
