Robert Bruce DeLurme a resident of Concrete for over 30 years passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2002 at the Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon, WA at the age of 82 years. He was born September 15, 1920 in Portland, OR the son of William and Florence English DeLurme. Robert worked as a construction foreman on many construction sites in the following cities of Glacier, Yelm, Shelton, Friday Harbor, Quilicene, and St. Helens, Or before settling in Concrete. He served with the US Army in France and Germany during WWII. Robert was married to Virginia Carsner on March 22, 1942 in Vancouver, WA and she preceded him in death in December of 1998. Robert was a member of the Lions Club in Concrete where he enjoyed doing volunteer work as well as being a school sports fan and most of all he enjoyed having coffee with his friends at the local coffee shop in the mornings. He is survived by his two daughters Diane Boehm of Milwaukie, OR and Roberta Larson and her husband Ken of Elma, WA. A son Robert DeLurme and his wife Joyce of Snoqualmie, WA. Sister Jeanne DeLurme of Murphy, ID and an aunt Muriel Page of Kelso, WA. 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia and two grandchildren Kimberlie Boehm and Rob DeLurme. At Robert’s request there are to be no services. Memorials are suggested to the Heart or Diabetes Association or the Concrete Lions Club. Arrangements and cremation under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
