Rosalind S. Johnson, 82, a longtime Skagit County resident, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon.
She was born and raised in Montezuma, North Carolina, the daughter of Millard & Lillian (Russell) Sudderth. She moved to Washington in 1952 and made her home in both King and Skagit County.
For many years Rosalind worked as an inspector for Sunstrand Data Control of Redmond, WA in the aerospace industry. She returned to the Skagit Valley after her retirement.
Rosalind is survived by her children, Mike, Steven and Sherri; grandchildren, Michael, Shannon, Michelle and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Brian, Samantha, Hannah, Elijah & Jessica; sisters, Virginia Payette and especially her sister Frances Baird with whom she always enjoyed a very close relationship; extended family, Hub & Theresa Brewer and Karen Allsop; several nieces and nephews and a very good friend, Rosalie, who has been like a sister to her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernie Johnson and several siblings.
A Life Celebration Service will be held at Valley Baptist Church, Sedro-Woolley, WA Wednesday. July 30 at 2:00 pm.
Private inurnment was at the Hamilton Cemetery
