ROSALINE ‘ROSIE’ VEILLEUX BJORN<br><br>Rosie Bjorn passed away Friday, May 24th, 2002 at the Mira Vista Care Center in Mount Vernon at the age of 79 years after a short battle with cancer. Rosie was born on March 22nd, 1923 in Lewiston, Idaho to Alexander and Agnes Donahue Veilleux. Rosie graduated from Arlington High School in 1942. She moved to Mount Vernon with her family in 1956 where she raised her children and was active in the community.<br>Rosie’s greatest joy was being with her family and friends. She loved gardening and working in her yard. She worked as a legal secretary for Warren ‘Bud’ Gilbert for 35 years and was active in the Skagit County Legal Secretary Association and the Women of the Moose. She enjoyed playing bridge with the ‘girls’ and until the very end rooted with gusto for the Mariners and was an avid UW Husky fan.<br>She is survived by her daughter Julie Bjorn-Fisher and husband Joe Fisher and their sons Kyle and Bjorn and his wife Christena all of Mount Vernon. Son Michael Bjorn and wife Dianne and their son Jay and daughter Mary Jane of Mill Creek, WA. Son Jeffrey Bjorn and wife Tami and their children Jeb, Jordan, Alex, and Hannah of Lady Lake, FL. She is also survived by grandchildren Brooke, Brig, and Brock Bjorn of Leesburg, FL and the light of her life great granddaughter Amara Fisher. Sisters Corinne Ledlin of Bellevue, WA and Jeanne Bjorn of Langley, WA and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, step mother Mina Veilleux, son Tony G. Bjorn, and a sister Kathleen Hoover.<br>A special thank you is extended to Dr. Stephen Cook, Dr. Mark Johnson, and the staff of Mira Vista Care Center who provided excellent care during her final illness.<br>Memorials may be made to the Tony G. Bjorn Scholarship Fund at Mount Vernon High School, the Special Olympics, SPOT Save a Pet One at a Time, or the charity of your choice. <br>Memorial Services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2002 at 4:00 PM at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley, WA with Rosalie Robles of the Federation of Christian Ministries officiating.
