A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Lemley Chapel, with Life Celebrant, Linda Haddon officiating.  Inurnment will follow immediately at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery, after which friends are invited to join the family in a reception at the Sedro-Woolley Eagles.

Butch was a very good friend of my dad Bill Maynard. I think they even fished together. Dad passed away in May 2013 at the age of 101. I think Butch was among the six guys from Skagit that helped us celebrate dad’s 100th birthday. I think Butch is the 4th guy that has passed away now since their attendance at the party.

    Good luck in the future.

Butch and I go back along way when we attended Sunday School together. We walked to school together and remained good friends throughout the years. We hid out at my Grandmother’s house during lunch time to avoid the Freshman initiations at high school. When we were first married, we spent a lot of time socializing together, playing cards, and just having a great time. I think Butch did more living in his 73 years than most people. May the Lord bless your family during this time of separation on earth. There is comfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain. Love, Jim and Mary

Sorry to have lost Butch. Went all the way through school with him. Worked with Butch and his Dad at Skagit Steel. Saw him last in April as he was getting treatment. He was always friendly to anyone and everyone he came across.
