I’m Ruthie’s older half-sib, being also a child of the late Elvin Jordan. I only met her once, in the late 90s, about an hour after learning of my “new” sister. A few phone calls, a couple letters, and then we both went back to our lives and lost touch. I only learned of her passing a few days ago, by accident, while snooping around on a “people search” website. I felt shocked, cheated, and guilty all at once. I had taken it for granted that there would always be a “later” for us to get better acquainted, to see what we might share besides paternity. May no one else ever be that foolish.

Some years have elapsed, but other losses have taught me that grief and loss never entirely fade away. For Ruthie’s family and friends, may the pain have subsided and the Beauty linger on. Peace.

Ruthie will be missed dearly! Although, I have not seen here for sometime my thought has always been with her wishing her only the best in life! My memories of her will forever be good ones! (Ruthie was a very pretty woman, with the most beautiful green eyes) my family and I’s prays are with all hers! I know this is a hard time right now for her loved ones and friends! But she is now free as the wind and in a much better, happier place… Free of harm and hurt (of any kind) this world bestows upon us… I love you Cousin Ruthie and will miss you dearly!
