Sherry Hassler

Thursday, October 25th, 2018

Sherry Hassler (born Sheryll Lynn Adams), 72, of La Conner, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. Sherry was born on May 26, 1946 to Harley and Vaughan Adams in San Jose, California.

Preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband Lennie Hassler in 2010, Sherry is survived by her brother Craig Adams of Mount Vernon, WA (and his wife Cheryl) and her five children David Lee of Mount Vernon, WA, Joshua Lee of Stanwood, WA (and his wife Leeann), Jason Lee of La Conner, WA (and his wife Dawn), Dana Fish of Sedro-Woolley, WA (and her husband Steve), and Kerry Marquardt of Austin, TX (and her husband Bill).

Sherry immensely enjoyed her grandchildren James, Christopher, Harley, Elizabeth, Tyler, Alieshia, Max, Elliott, Raegan, Jenessa, Kendall, Lauralie, and Adeline. Numerous other step siblings, nephews & nieces, cousins, other family and friends brought her much joy.

The family moved from San Jose to northwest Washington in 1954. Later, Sherry became an avid horse rider, participating mostly in local Skagit competitions & 4H along with her lifelong friends. She became a tax preparer travelling throughout the County visiting her customers at their homes.

Always a cat lover, Sherry had many a cat tale always at the tip of her tongue. Her battle cry of “let the games begin!” was Sherry’s favorite hook as the family would gather for dining room table games on holidays. Most of all, her unswerving faith in God and jubilation with the power of Christ’s resurrection and promise of eternal life was her driving hope of reuniting with all of her family–past, present, and future.

Viewing will be held at Lemley Chapel on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

A memorial will be held Sunday, October 28, 2018, 3:00 PM at North Cascades Christian Fellowship in Sedro-Woolley, WA.
