Tamara Lynn “Tammy” Pinneke, 53, a resident of Burlington, passed away at her home on Monday, December 1, 2014.

She was born on August 27, 1961 in Grass Valley, CA, the daughter of Richard & Linda (Lardner) Gray.  She was raised in California until the family settled in Skagit County in 1972 and Tammy attended school in Mount Vernon and graduated from Mount Vernon High School with the class of 1979.

In 1983 she married Doug Alvord and from that union her sons, Randall and Travis were born.  On February 14, 1993 she was united in marriage to Brad Pinneke and they made their home in Mount Vernon and Burlington.

For many years Tammy worked in the grocery industry, working at Safeway, Food Services and Red Apple in Mount Vernon.  She then worked in the stock/investment field for several years.

Tammy loved animals of all sorts, especially horses, and was in 4-H for several years with her horse Spunky, she enjoyed playing softball and bowling, but mostly loved watching her sons play their sports.

Tammy is survived by her 3 sons, Randall Alvord of Covington, WA,
Travis Alvord and his wife Ashley of La Conner and Braden Pinneke of Burlington;  2 grandchildren, Emmitt & Harrison Alvord; her mother, Linda Gray of Surprise, AZ; brother, Tom Gray of Spokane, WA; sister, Rhonda Taplin and her husband David of Hillsboro, OR; 3 uncles, Steve Gray (Vicki), Robert “Burns” Gray (Terri) and Bill Lardner; 1 niece, Carmen Taplin and 2 nephews, Richard Gray & Connor Taplin.  She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Gray, aunt, Elaine Benvenuti and husband Brad in 2011.

A casual Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. at the Sedro-Woolley Eagles Hall.  Memorials are suggested to the support fund for her son Braden Pinneke c/o any branch of Skagit Bank.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
