Theodore "Ted" Ziebell, 90, passed away at his home in Sedro-Woolley on Friday, April 5, 2002. He was born on June 19, 1911 in VanZandt, WA., the son of Robert and Louise Staubauch Ziebell. He was raised and attended school in VanZandt. He later lived in Bellingham, Edison and finally to Sedro-Woolley. He was married to Betty Eberli in SedroWoolley on March 10, 1945 and they made their home in Sedro-Woolley. Betty preceded him in death in 1990. He worked on their family farm and later for various local sawmills and in the construction business in Skagit Valley. Ted was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing and was know by many as a "crackshot " with his shotgun and rifle.
He is survived by his nieces; Rosalie Walden, Marcia Jensen, Shirley Miller and Laurene Brendle. Nephews; Robert Brandt, Wayne Ziebell, Fredrick Yearian, Theodore Anderson, Willis Ziebell and Danny Ziebell; A close friend Lyda Robison and numerous great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Herman and Carl and 4 sisters, Alvina, Amanda, Ida and Louise.
A Memorial Service will be held at Lemley Chapel on Friday, April 12, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Walt Rice of Bethlehem Lutheran Church officiating. Interment was at Union Cemetery, Sedro-Woolley.
