Timothy Lawrence ‘Stub-O-Quid #1’ Edwards, Sr., a lifetime resident of Swinomish passed away Friday, December 6, 2002 at the Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, WA at the age of 52 years. He was born December 14, 1949 in Mount Vernon, WA, the son of Lawrence and Agatha Cassimere Edwards, Sr. Tim was worked as a fisherman, sawmill worker, and for 10 years was a foreman at the Swinomish Cannery. He was a minister in the Shaker Church, a member of the Swinomish Tribe and Swinomish Smoke House, and a Prayer Warrior for the Swinomish Tribe. He enjoyed cooking and watching cooking shows on television. Tim was married to Kim Clark in the Shaker Church at Swinomish on April 11, 1981. He is survived by his wife Kim of the family home in Swinomish. 9 children, Timothy Edwards, Jr., Angelia Edwards, and Wynette Goliver and her husband Mike all of Mount Vernon. Lawrence Edwards and his wife Lisa, Marlon Edwards, Charles Edwards, Edith Edwards, Alma Edwards, and Kendall Topaum all of Swinomish. 7 grandchildren. His mother, Agatha Edwards of Swinomish. A brother Joseph P. McCoy, Sr. of Swinomish and 3 sisters LaVonne Trask of Spokane, and Alice Topaum and Audrey Edwards both of Swinomish. Also numerous nieces and nephews.
A Shaker Prayer Service will be Monday, December 9, 2002 at 3:00PM at the Swinomish Shaker Church with a All Denominational Prayer Service to follow at 7:00PM at the Social Services Building. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2002 at 10:00AM at the Social Services Building with Harlan Sam, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Swinomish Cemetery.
