Verna Jo Big Beaver Barcelo, 48, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 in Mount Vernon, WA.

She was born on August 12, 1972 in Seattle, WA the daughter to Manuel Verzola and Barbara Williams.

Verna was a very hard worker; her first job was working in the Tulip fields in Mount Vernon, then a motel housekeeper, a cook at the Safeco Field, Quest Field, Taco Time, McDonalds, and Jack in the Box.

She was a loving caring mother to her children.  She always worked hard on forgiving no matter how bad the situation got, she overcame the hard times.  She worked hard on her sobriety.

Verna was a proud strong beautiful 100% Native American women who was the best at teaching the bible (K.J.V.), always keeping the family in prayer.

Verna is survived by her children Lov’Anna Big Beaver, Lauri’Anna Big Beaver, Lil’Manny Big Beaver, Carlito Big Beaver, Juan Big Beaver, Angelo Big Beaver; sister, Marria Morris, Vanessa Fui, Davida Gerome; Manuel Verzola; nieces, Alyssa and Verzola; nephew, Christopher Mahle, Jr.; great-nieces, Nayeli and Natalia Valencia; special longtime friends, Juan Barcelo and Jeffrey Drew.

She preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Ann Williams; father, Manuel Verzola; biological father, Vernon Joseph Big Beaver; brother, Manny Big Beaver; children, Angelito Big Beaver, and twin babies.

Services were held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Lemley Chapel, followed by a graveside service at the Hamilton Indian Cemetery. Share your memories of Verna and sign the online guest register.

    I am going to miss you and wanted to thank you for always calling me about my bro Arrow Lindoff telling me where he was.
    I knew both of your parents Big Manny and your mom Barbara and your lil bro Manny and sis.
    I am sorry I did not write anything early in these days sometimes we found someone pass away later on and I wish I could have now when you pass and I apologize for being so late on finding out you pass. 8/12/21
