Vivian Joyce (Hills) Pitner, 73, of Anacortes, Washington passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022.  Vivian was born on August 29, 1949, to Cecil R. and Darlene (Henry) Hills in Sedro-Woolley, WA.  She was married to Dale Craig Pitner on August 13, 1976.

Vivian grew up in Sedro-Woolley.  After graduation from Sedro-Woolley High School in 1967, she was employed at Sears.  In 1976, she met Dale Craig Pitner, fell in love, and married him the same year.  She moved to Anacortes with her family in 2003.  Vivian was an active member of the Skagit Valley Church of Christ in Burlington, WA for many years.  Vivian’s biggest passion became her family.  She loved all of them so very much!  She had an amazing relationship with her big sister, Vaunda.  Vivian was so loving with such a big heart for people.  She was also very patient, kind, and caring.  She wanted to make people laugh, loved recipes, and loved watching eagle’s fly.

Vivian is survived by her husband, Craig Pitner of Anacortes; daughter, Crystal Scofield of Anacortes; son, Christopher Pitner of Anacortes; grandchildren, Jamie Scofield Turner and James Turner of Anacortes, Naomi Scofield of Anacortes, Nathaniel Scofield of Anacortes; sister, Vaunda Decker of Post Falls, ID; nieces, Melissa Gilbertson and Michelle Decker of Marysville.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Darlene Hills; brother, Frank Hills; brother-in-law, Teddy Decker.

A Funeral service  will be held at 11:00,  Friday, September 16, 2022 at  Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.  Reception will follow at Skagit Valley Church of Christ at 215 S Gardner Rd, Burlington.  Donations are suggested to the Spastic Paraplegia Foundation, 1605 Goularte Place, Fremont, CA 94539-7241.
