Dorothy Maxine Miller, age 85, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon, Washington.
She was born March 3, 1932 to Amos and Lena (Brown) McDonald in Dietrich, Idaho. She lived in Idaho until 1943 when she moved to the Skagit Valley where she attended schools in Avon, Clear Lake and Sedro-Woolley.
Dorothy married Robert Miller on September 12, 1987 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and they lived in Mount Vernon, until moving to Sedro-Woolley in 1990. She was a cannery worker at Specialty Seafoods in Anacortes. She enjoyed crocheting, making quilts, gardening, flowers and her grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Norma Cook and husband Larry, and Kirby Taylor, all of Sedro-Woolley; three grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, George, Vernon, Robert and Ray McDonald and sister, Frances Beaszizo.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley. Her final resting place will next to her husband, Robert at Union Cemetery, Sedro-Woolley. Please share memories of Dorothy and sign the online guest register.
