Gloria Gail Guffie, age 53, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2007 at the Clayton House in Sedro-Woolley, WA. She was born May 4, 1953 in Sedro-Woolley, the daughter of Odell and Margie Anderson Guffie.
Gloria was a lifetime resident of Sedro-Woolley, attending school and graduating from Sedro-Woolley High School in 1971. After graduation, she attended business college in Mount Vernon and worked at the Sedro-Woolley Bakery . She later worked as a clerical worker at Rallye Auto Sales for many years and as a care giver and an Avon representative. Gloria loved to cook and entertain for her friends and family and she was a member of the Northwest Missionary Baptist Church in Hamilton.
She is survived by her father, Odell Guffie and his wife Peg of Hamilton. Her brother, Doyle Guffie and his wife Mary of Sedro-Woolley, her sister, Kay Reed and her husband John of Hamilton, and her brother, Dale Guffie and his wife Debbie of Birdsview. Her grandmother, Sylvia Anderson of Sedro-Woolley and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margie Guffie and her grandparents, Raleigh and Kittie Guffie and Charles Anderson and her pastor, Reverend Chester Mitchell.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, April 26, 2007 at 2:00PM at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley with Mr. David Queen officiating. Interment will follow at the Hamilton Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Lemley Chapel on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley. Memorials are suggested to Critical Care Memorial Room at Clayton House 1231 Warner Sedro-Woolley in memory of Gloria.
