Jacqueline Stacey Clark Si-UK-CUS, age 25, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.
She was born January 16, 1983 in Anacortes, Washington to Walter Keith and Jacqueline Maxine Joe Clark Sr.
Jacqueline grew up and attended school in La Conner. She later worked as a care giver and also worked at the White River Amphitheatre.
For the past 4 years she has resided in Auburn. She was a member of the Confederate Tribe of Grand Ronde of Oregon, Cowichan Tribe of Duncan, BC, and the Chemainus Bay Long House. Jacqueline enjoyed football, stick games, beadwork, and traditional war dances. She held two crowns as queen of the Toppenish Creek and Nooksack Genesis.
She is survived by her common law husband, Donald Powderface of Auburn. 2 daughters, Carolyn Dinah Adell Clark and Kimberly Joyce Powderface of Auburn. Her parents, Walter Keith Clark, Sr. of Ladysmith, BC and Jacqueline Maxine Joe of Duncan BC. Her grandmother, Edythe Clark of La Conner. Nine sisters, Emma Wegener of Port Angeles, Paula Farrah Maxine Charlie of Duncan, BC, Karla Marie Moses of Nooksack, Katie Charlie of Duncan, BC, Charlene Bill of Sidney, BC, Celena Campbell of Beecher Bay, BC, Mary Ellen Rice of Brentwood Bay, BC, Mary Rose Jones of Ladysmith, BC, and Wynette Golliver of Mount Vernon. Four brothers, Walter Keith Clark, Jr. of Brentwood Bay, BC, Jacob Timothy Lee Clark of Duncan, BC, Kyle Charlie of Duncan, BC, and Richard Rice of Brentwood Bay, BC. Also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Charles J. Clark; grandparents, Jacob and Lorraine Joe; 2 uncles, Lyle Joe and Timothy Lawrence Edwards and 2 brothers, Charles Rice Jr. and Michael Mickey Rice.
Non Denominational Prayer Services were held on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 7:00 PM and Funeral Services were held Monday, November 3, 2008 at 9:00 AM at the Swinomish Social Services Building in La Conner with Harlan Sam, Sr. and John Cayou officiating. Interment was at the Swinomish Indian Cemetery. Arrangements and Services under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
