Janet Lorraine Patricia Turk

Tuesday, September 9th, 2008

Janet Lorraine Patricia ‘Pat’ Turk, 51, a longtime resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away at her home on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 surrounded by her loving family, after a long battle with cancer.
Pat was born on November 15, 1956 in Nelson, B.C., Canada, the daughter of Clarence & Eleanor Hosford Boettger.
On July 11, 1981 Pat was united in marriage to Bob Turk, just fourteen months after their life together began, May 18, 1980, the same day that Mount St. Helens blew.
Pat & Bob made their home in Sedro-Woolley and she worked as a sales clerk for many years at Oakleaf Office Supply and the Woodshed in Sedro-Woolley and also at Fred Meyer in Burlington. She worked for Visiting Nurses and ran a daycare out of her home.
Pat was a down to earth person who loved life and her family. Her hobbies included crafts, gardening, hiking, canning and baking; spending time with Bob and traveling on weekends riding on their Harley.
She touched so many lives with her radiant smile, welcoming personality, compassion and willingness to help others.
Our beloved friend has left us. Pat we love you very much and will miss you always.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Bob Turk. Her daughters, Tawnya Kononen, Dusty Harvey and Shilo Turk and her son, Kori Turk. Her father and step-mother, Clarence & Ruth Boettger. Five sisters, Peggy Boettger, Donalda Wiggins, Lola Hagen, Tracee Boettger and Cynthia Prosser. Four brothers, Dale and Lance Boettger and Rob and Alan Prosser.
Three grandchildren, Hannah & McKenna Kononen and Cameron Harvey; twenty five nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Latting Meredith. Many thanks to her special friends, Annette & Diane and to her nurse and friend Kim from Option Care. Memorials in memory of Pat are suggested to the Make A Wish Foundation.
A Life Celebration will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Sedro-Woolley with Pastor Richard Coursen officiating. A fellowship will follow at the family home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
